SummitCTF is an annual Capture the Flag (CTF) competition hosted by the Cybersecurity Club at Virginia Tech (CyberVT). There is no virtual option this year.
This year the competition theme is Hack the Airport. Along with the normal jeopardy style CTF, there will also be a first-of-its-kind airport red teaming component. More details will be revealed when you arrive.
The competition will officially start on 4/19/2026 and last 24 hours.

The in person competition will take place April 18th and 19th.

The in person portion of the competition will be hosted on the Virginia Tech Campus, in the Data and Decision Sciences Building.

Prizes will be released closer to start date. Expect vouchers, courses, merch, and more.

Current student at a university or community college.

Early bird registration is $10. After March 31st, regular registration is $15.
$ ./lodging
Lodging is not provided by CyberVT and students are encouraged to reach out to your club or school leadership for funding. We have a special rate of $159/night available at The Inn at Virginia Tech, our on-campus hotel just across the street from the venue. It can be booked using this link.

Teams will be limited to four people. However, multiple teams from the same university can compete.
